These artifacts were workshopped remotely but synchronously in the Spring of 2021. They were created after eight weeks of seminar on Pier Paolo Pasolini and Greek Drama.
We read Sophocles’ Œdipus Rex, Euripides’ Medea, and Æschylus’ Oresteia. We watched Pier Paolo Pasolini’s Edipo Re, Medea, Appunti per un’Orestiade Africana, and La Rabbia. We looked at vases and shards, we read ancient and contemporary scholarship, we discussed reception, classicism, spectacle, and translation. We looked at the Star Wars saga as if it was an archaeological finding.
These are the results of our work in between scholarship and creativity.
